Army Kidnaps Palestinian Journalist In Jerusalem
Israeli soldiers kidnapped on Wednesday evening a Palestinian journalist in Jerusalem after she was ordered to head to a security center for questioning.
Journalist Isra’ Salhab, was detained by the Israeli Police in Jerusalem on Wednesday evening; she received an official notice to head to the police station in Jerusalem for questioning, and when she arrived at the station she was detained and then transferred to a security interrogation department.
Isra’ hosts a TV show, dedicated to the issues of Palestinian political prisoners at the Al Quds Satellite TV station.
It is worth mentioning that the husband of Isra’ is currently imprisoned by Israel; he was kidnapped nearly three weeks ago when the army broke into his home in Wadi Al Jouz neighborhood, in occupied East Jerusalem.

In a series of overnight raids in different West Bank villages and cities, Israeli troops arrested seven Palestinians, raided and fined souvenir shops in the Old City of Jerusalem, and extended the arrest of a Jerusalem journalist.
According to a member of Salhab’s family, “Isra’ was ordered to go to al-Moskobiya for questioning and then she was taken to another cell for continued interrogation.”
Isra’s husband is currently imprisoned by Israel. He was arrested nearly three weeks ago when the army broke into his home in Wadi al-Joz neighborhood in East Jerusalem.
Abdullah Qandil, a media spokesman for the Wa’ed society for prisoners and ex-prisoners, condemned Salhab’s detention and called on Israel to release her immediately. He said her arrest was illegal and violates international human rights law.
